Assembled one room at a time.
When we opened in 2010 we had six rooms, a kitchen, and one rule: guests are not units of revenue, they are people we have welcomed home. 16 years later we have 60 keys, three restaurants and a casino floor — and the rule has not shifted an inch.
There is a way to do this work and a way not to. We have, over 16 years, chosen one and held to it. Every member of our team — from the front desk to the kitchen porters — has been selected, trained and retained because they share the same instinct about what good looks like. That is not something a building can produce on its own. It comes from people.
We hope you will come and see for yourself. And, when you do, we hope you will tell us where we fell short, so that the next 16 years surpass the last.

Live Entertainment
Jazz nights in the main bar, headline acts in the rotunda, and intimate lounge performances four nights a week. The pianist on Thursday has been with us for years. Some guests travel here solely to hear him play.

Every key is designed to be somewhere you want to linger, not merely somewhere you sleep.
A coastal retreat, 16 years in the making.
Grandoceanstay began in 2010 as a single villa on a quiet bay, and grew only when we were certain we could expand without losing what made it worth visiting. 16 years on, we keep 60 rooms and suites, three kitchens and one gaming rooms, and we still turn away more business than we accept.
Luxury, to us, is not marble and gold leaf. It is the second coffee you did not have to ask for, the driver who remembers your name, the table held an hour past closing because you were still talking. We hire for that instinct and we retain the people who have it.
Most of our guests return, and that is the entire strategy. We would rather 68 percent of a smaller number come back every year than pursue a larger one that never does.
Five stars, earned without fanfare
“Kitchen craft that stands beside the finest tables in Europe. Each plate deliberate, each touch considered.”
“A gaming floor with poise, not clamour. Uncommon, polished — precisely what I hoped for.”
“Leisurely mornings, lingering dinners, a fortunate evening at the tables. Precisely what we hoped for.”
